Morristown Neigborhood House

Founded in 1898, the Morristown Neighborhood House Association is a private multi-faceted non-profit agency that provides childcare and other services for children and their families in the Morristown, Morris County, New Jersey area.

The Mission of the Neighborhood House is to provide families and youth with a community-based support system which will strengthen their ability to cope in today’s rapidly changing and complex society by providing a broad range of community services relevant to persons of all ages and from every socio-economic, ethnic and religious background.

The Neighborhood House offers recreational, education, cultural and social service programs to the community with special emphasis on pre-school, school age children and parents.

Each day more than 500 children attend House Programs together with parents, volunteers, community organizations and local residents using the facility.

A holistic approach, designed to provide parental substitution when necessary, is the cornerstone of our current efforts. An affiliation agreement with the Morris School District has solidified this goal. The Neighborhood House is a member agency of the United Neighborhood Centers of America and the United Way of Morris County.

Neighborhood House programs fall into five service categories:

• Education Enrichment
• Recreation Enrichment
• Volunteers-Community Relations
• Dalrymple House Learning Center

Heaven's Playground has supported this charity over several years and contributed funds toward the purchase of equipment to assist its programs.
