2001 Financial Summary

In 2001, Heaven's Playground was incorporated as a not-for-profit organization under the laws of the state of New Jersey. This allows us to collect donations made directly to Heaven's Playground which provides us a means to donate the funds we collect to various worthwhile causes.

The Legend Still Grows...

This year, as of September 2001, Heaven's Playground collected over $3,800 dollars made up of donations, player fees and t-shirt sales; mostly from coming from the our tournament in June. This represents a 60% increase from 2000 when we first attempted to direct our efforts toward charitable work. Considering the questionable weather, the logistics of getting to the event, and our busy school year, we made it a huge success and have something more to build upon.

2001 Summary

HP's Board of Trustees authorized a donation $2000 to the Tomorrow's Children Fund, our preferred charity. We attempt to run our t-shirt sales to at least break even with a substantial part of our expenses going toward the cost of producing the shirts. From all accounts, the t-shirts were a huge success. Heaven's Playground has grown over the last three years to an organization we are all proud of. We have harnessed the spirit of the original party and have directed some of our best efforts toward helping others. Forming our new organiztion, we are beginning to consider new strategies for expanding our success and benefiting other causes.
